Where did they come from?

One of the first Pattersons in the Orange/Sullivan area was Nehemiah Patterson who migrated there with his wife Azuba Gilete from Conncecticut.

The Gilete family were French Hugenots who fled France, resided in London, and then settled in Connecticut.

There are several candidates for the Nehemiah Patterson's ancestors inlcuding:
